Susie

So one of my closest friends, his mother, Susie, has been in the hospital for over a month now recovering from heart surgery. This has been a very rough time for Susie and him and the family throughout this whole ordeal. I have linked his blog and the blog he started for her, to this page, so please if you have time check it out. What I am asking of you is prayer, if you have anytime in the day, evening, whenever to take a moment and say a prayer for Susie and the family that would be wonderful. Anytime someone is in the hospital it is very hard.

THANK YOU!

CLASS

So spring break is over, back to school! YEAH!! With only 2 quarters left of college, each quarter gets harder and harder, I just want to be done! This quarter is going to be the worst! I am taking 25 credit hours, so I can graduate in December. This week was the first week, and honestly it wasn't too bad, but it is just the beginning. The good thing with my classes, is I actually am starting to enjoy them. So that makes is easier to go to class. I am blessed in the fact that I know all of my professors and they are all very good, which makes class more fun.
With each quarter, I get more nervous about graduation. As I talk with kids in my class I realize that I am not the only one who is a little scared. It is like in high school we spent all this time preparing for college in college we spend all this time preparing for a job, but when it is time to graduate will we have a job? What will we do once we graduate? Are we prepared?

WORK!

So I am trying to figure out what I want to do when I graduate. Currently I work at Abercrombie and Fitch in the warehouse, so it is not the most glamorous job, but it pays the bills. I am actually glad that I work there because I have now discovered the job I do not want when I graduate! I am very excited to graduate, but also terrified because I have no clue where I am going, or what I am going to do. I am so used to knowing what I am going to do next, this is probably one of the first times I actually do not know what I am going to do. Graduating from college is so much different than graduating from high school because instead of looking for a college to go to, you are looking for a job, a real job. Everything is starting to become very real. To think that I have spent all this money and time just to work the rest of my life, it is actually kind of sad. We spend thousands of dollars in school, just to work the rest of our lives.

Some background info.

So I have been trying to decide what to write in my blog, I figured that I probably should start with a little background information. I am the youngest of five children, which on some days is great on other days not so great. I love having a large family, it keeps things interesting. I was named after my mother, which is odd. Typically boys are named after their fathers, not the other way around, but I enjoy it. There is a lot of history that goes behind my name. My ancestors came over on the Mayflower, John & Priscilla Alden. Thus making me the 14 generation of Priscilla's in my family. I am very proud of my name, and knowing that there is a little bit of history behind my name.

Let's see what else? I am currently a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in Agricultural Communications, with a minor in Rural Sociology. I will graduate in December, so I am very excited about that! I have been in school a very long time, so I am more than ready to be finished! Currently I am looking for a job in the Ag Com field, something revolving research. So hopefully I will have at least one or two jobs lined up by graduation time.

As I mentioned earlier I am dog-sitting for a friend of mine. This is one of my many side jobs. I love dogs, they are so much fun and they are always so happy to see you when you get home. I hope that once I graduate I will be able to keep my dog with me, depending on where I end up going.

Well that's about it for today, Daisy and I are off for a walk!

So Melanie convince me in Amish class to start a blog. That blogging was the thing to do. So I did! Now don't get too excited, this blog probably will not be the most interesting blog in the world, but it might be fun to read!
Currently, I am helping a friend out with their dog, Daisy, by far one of the cutest dogs I have ever babysat! She is bugging me to take her for a walk, so we are off!
